Meet Our Men's Team

Founder of Bluegrass Blaze Fernando Zarate! Helps the team in any way needed from fundraising/sponsorships, organizing and registering. He brings his sand game to the hard court and will get some crafty kills.

He is as flexible on the court as he is on the dance floor. He will play wherever you need him to. From Libero to Middle Blocker he really can do it all. He brings energy anytime he plays and isn’t afraid to put his body on the line.

Hometown: Richmond, KY

Our digging machine. He isn’t scared to put his body on the line to help his team. Uses his volleyball IQ to aid the team with great court vision and overall adjustments for each game.

Hometown: Corbin, KY

He is the team’s hustle and effort as he brings 100% to every play. When not playing you’ll catch him recharging with his version of “Michael's Secret Stuff” in a Stanley.

Our heavy arm to make sure we get the kill and a big blocker to help our defenders. Lethal attacks from the front and back row.

Hometown: Lexington, KY

He brings his experince from Coker University to the court as our big Middle Blocker. His big block has saved us many times and no less lethal offensively.

Our other heavy hitter prefers the opposite position of his brother. Focusing on blocks to aid our defenders and can be just as lethal attacking from the front row as the back row.
